VOICE TIMER
Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 24, 2026
Voice Timer does not require an account. Timer information and custom voice recordings stay on your device. The app uses Google AdMob to display advertising, and Google may process certain device and usage information when ads are requested.
Advertising and data processed by Google
Voice Timer uses Google AdMob, provided by Google LLC. Depending on your device, region, consent choices, and Google's configuration, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect or process:
- IP address, which may be used to estimate general location;
- app and advertising interactions, such as app launches, ad impressions, taps, and video views;
- diagnostic and performance information, including crash and SDK performance data; and
- device or other identifiers, including the Android Advertising ID and App Set ID.
This information may be used for advertising, ad measurement, analytics, fraud prevention, security, and legal compliance. It may be shared with Google and advertising partners involved in serving and measuring ads. Data transmitted to Google is encrypted in transit. Google's handling and retention of this information is governed by:
Consent and privacy choices
Where required, Voice Timer uses Google's User Messaging Platform to request advertising privacy choices before ads are loaded. When the applicable privacy message requires an ongoing entry point, a Privacy choices option appears in the app menu so you can review or change your choices.
You can also reset or delete the Android Advertising ID through your device's privacy settings. Menu names vary by Android version.
Microphone and voice recordings
The app records a short voice clip only when you choose to create a custom alarm recording. Recordings are stored in the app's private storage on your device and are used only to play your selected alarm. Voice Timer does not upload recordings or provide them to Google AdMob or advertising partners.
You can remove recordings in the app or delete them by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app.
Notifications, alarms, and background timing
Voice Timer uses notifications, exact alarm functionality, a foreground service, wake lock, and full-screen alarm functionality so active user-created timers can continue and alert you while the app is not visible. Timer state is stored locally. Advertising is not displayed in notifications, the background service, or the full-screen alarm experience.
Permissions used
- Microphone: record a custom alarm voice clip locally
- Notifications: show timer and alarm alerts
- Exact alarm: maintain precise active timer behavior and service recovery
- Foreground service and wake lock: keep active timers running reliably
- Full-screen intent: present a completed alarm over the lock screen
- Internet and Advertising ID: load, secure, and measure advertising according to applicable law and your choices
Children
Voice Timer is not directed to children under 13. The app's Google Play target audience and AdMob ad-content settings should be configured consistently with this statement.
Data retention and deletion
Local timer data and voice recordings remain on your device until you delete them in the app, clear the app's storage, or uninstall Voice Timer. Information processed by Google or advertising partners is retained according to their respective policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app, legal requirements, or third-party services change. The latest revision date will always appear at the top of this page, and material changes will be disclosed as required by law.
